ABOUT US<\/strong><\/h1>\nBeing born at the time and age when New Media, primarily Social Media and Social Networks, are becoming the primary source of information, YouthPinoy (a group of Online Missionaries), took the challenge to use \u2018New Media\u2019 as a channel to reintroduce Christ to the people and be contributory to the New Evangelization.<\/p>\n
With the battle cry \u2018Wining the World through the World,\u2019 <\/strong>our main Vocation is to use the gift of Social Media to reintroduce Christ\u2019s Love, as well as forge intellectual and spiritual exchange online and immerse within the community to promote and carry out social teachings of the Church (performing social action) the world needs today.<\/p>\n[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.9.10″ _module_preset=”default” header_text_color=”#02397A” custom_padding=”||30px||false|false” hover_enabled=”0″ sticky_enabled=”0″]<\/p>\n
HISTORY<\/strong><\/h1>\nPope Emeritus Benedict XVI\u2019s call for evangelization on digital media has prompted the Catholic Bishops\u2019 Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) to establish an online community of young Catholic Filipinos coming from different parishes, academes, and dioceses present nationwide.<\/p>\n
Through the supervision of the CBCP Episcopal Commission on Youth (ECY), and Msgr. Pedro Quitorio III, director of the CBCP Media, a group of youth ministers, missionaries and coordinators were organized to work in setting up a website that will serve as rich information portal of the events, updates and activities within the youth apostolate.<\/p>\n
The group has come to be called YouthPinoy and its website as WWW.YOUTHPINOY.COM. With the website up and running, inspired how the Pope sees the internet as the \u201cbest medium\u201d for the young to evangelize their peers, friends, classmates, and colleagues, we will be \u201cevangelizing the youth through their fellow youth.\u201d<\/p>\n
As we have experienced, many people in this generation have misused and abused the \u2018New Media\u2019 either divulging inappropriate information, cyber bullying or unacceptable behavior exposed online, YouthPinoy \u2013 the Online Missionaries of God \u2013 is dedicated to eradicate this culture both online through the New Evangelization and offline through social actions.<\/p>\n

THE ONLINE MISSION<\/strong><\/h1>\nWith the use of New Media, YOUTHPINOY aims to \u201cEstablish connection and credibility by setting trends and leading young people to Christ, presenting innovative techniques, utilizing young people\u2019s talents to reveal the\u00a0\u2018Realities of Life’ by extending beyond the peripheries and building a network of young people committed to development through social action\u201d<\/p>\n
YOUTHPINOY also aims to:<\/p>\n
\n- Advance the Holy Father\u2019s call for the evangelization of the digital continent, that is the Internet and use the new media to proclaim the Gospel<\/li>\n
- Establish a network of online missionaries from young Catholics in the parishes, dioceses, academes, and communities sporadically existing nationwide through a website that will serve as a rich information portal.<\/li>\n
- Minister new media evangelization through projects, seminars and forum to its members and advance the Catholic Church\u2019s stand on socio-political issues among the youth ministry in general.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
